Use
as a necklace, an ornament, a rear view mirror pendant,
etc.
Many
of my charms
have a high quality sepia print of an antique photograph
from my collection of photos from the late 1800s and
early 1900s. They have a word collage on the back, which
includes vintage letter or word cards, old dictionary
pages, snippets from vintage holiday wrapping paper,
etc. The background behind the word collage is a
decorative, textured cardstock.
All charms are made with lead-free solder.
Finishes:
Shiny Silver, Aged Black Patina, Aged Copper Patina
Chains: You may choose a 24" nickel plated ball
chain, a length of a coordinating ribbon, or a scrolled
hanger to go with each charm. Ball chains may be aged
with a black or copper patina if desired. Ribbons and
scrolled hangers may be substituted for the ball chain
as long as supplies last.
Sizes: 1 ½” square or 1” x 3” rectangle.

REMEMBRANCE CHARMS:
The
six charms in the photo above are made from reprints of
antique photos.
The
backs commemorate the current year of 2007 and are made
from textured paper and old school number cards.
These
would be thoughtful gifts for children born this year,
or for those who collect a charm or ornament for every
year.

Bingo

For
these charms, I have taken a vintage 1939 embossed
wooden Bingo number, backed it with the corresponding
number from a Bingo card out of the same box, encased it
in glass, and soldered the edges.
I have used lead-free solder so that it is safe
against your skin. After foiling and soldering, the
piece has been sanded, then wiped down and buffed with a
finishing compound. The charm measures 3/4" square
x 1/2" thick.
